absentee

"New friends may be considered as poems, but old friends are alphabets. Do not forget the alphabet because you'll need them to read the poems."

-a quote from a friend's text message.. I can't remember who is the original writer of the quote but I can't forget who entered my mind the moment I read it. Dear Friends.

I'm really fond of reading inspiring messages and cute notes from different people, and I share the same sentiment with Arlene, one of my closest friends from high school.
silly mirror shot :D
nice shot! haha!
Tomorrow is her birthday and I can't make it for I'll be out of town for three days. And this would be the very first time I'll be absent on her birthday. (because since freetime is rare, attendance is a must in each of our birthdays)

My heart really cries as I imagine the thought of not being with you on your 22nd year on Earth.. and of course, thinking of the pigout with Joan and getting drunk on your day also makes me wanna go even for hours only.. But you know I can't. haay..

Joan, Lyn, and I at SM Sta Rosa

Earlier while having little updates :)
So.. this post is a public apology for being absent on her big day.. and also a gross, public announcement of how close and important she is to me. :)

Happy Happy Birthday Lyn! :) I wish you all the bests things in your wonderful life :) iloveyou! I promise, I'll make it up to you once I arrived home :) cheers! hihi!

Good News: While I'm out of town, Joan will take my part and will be counted as two :))

psychiatric truth behind their characters..

Don't know how I came to this website but I was glad I did because this picture really amused me! I know it's kinda shallow but thinking about it, the characters really had the disorder, giving me a second thought if it's just a co-incidence or the writer really planned it to be that way. But, whichever reason it is, still this really amused me. of course, because I watch their shows and I like most of them. haha! Didn't know that they actually possess a psychiatric disorder in our real world! Didn't even notice it. amazing! HAHA! now I wonder who else in the cartoon world hasn't revealed their disorder..

Stop hurting people with your words!

Whatever you post on any kind of website, reflects your personality. Those foul words you use in your posts, just show how impolite you are. Crude. Some will get pissed off and not everyone can understand you. Ok, there's freedom of expression but keep in mind that you should also be responsible. Stop hurting people with your words!

butterflies..

It was just last Monday when I saw you.. We joked with each other, and I smiled at you as you waved me goodbye. I never thought it would be the last day we'll ever see you.. Though we've only known you for a very short time, I'm glad I met someone as bubbly as you. Looking back to the days we had together during the PRISSA Football Festival, you're really nice to everyone, such a good person. That's why I wasn't shocked to see how heartbroken the teachers are, but nothing can compare to the grieving that your wife and son has.. But as she said, you dont want to see people sad, and so she tries not to show it. Right now, we know you're safe and happy with our Lord.. Thank you Sir Mon, may your soul rest in peace.

Ondoy Part 2?

Two days ago, Mom woke me up at 4:00 for I need to be in school 15minutes before the first class starts. I turned on the TV to kill time while waiting for my mom to finish preparing our breakfast. My heart sank seeing this horrible picture of Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon underwater.

Flashback starts as I remember how Manila seemed to be an ocean cause of the flood waters brought on by typhoon Ondoy. And just today, southwest monsoon or Habagat devastated the city despite of not being tagged as a "storm". Heavy rains broke the routine of spending their morning with hot pandesal and coffee.

seems to be a wrath of the 2009 typhoon Ondoy

Considering that this is just an effect of Habagat, this is way much disastrous compared to Ondoy which is a typhoon. A lot of cities and provinces are flooded, infrastructure were destroyed, and thousands of houses are soaked in murky water. But nothing is worst than hearing about those who lost not just their homes, but also their loved ones (my prayers go out to them and their families).

The weather is still cold, as I write this post, but seeing how Filipinos join together to help others really warms my heart :) And I really admire those TV personalities that help the victims may it be through financial, or by their simple inspiring messages.

I also admire all the municipal mayors and government staffs who never stopped on helping their constituents. And of course, I wont forget to give credits to all he private agencies and ordinary people who extend their help by donating for the victims.

Most of all, I salute all the rescuers who trade their own lives just to save our Kababayan.

Despite of being one of the poorest countries in the world, I am confident enough that we're going to survive this.. simply because we are Filipinos, and Filipinos never give up on trials, we become stronger and braver instead.

Though we still have a long way to go, especially in managing our garbage problem and improving everyone's discipline, I believe that there will be a brighter future for the Philippines.

As a famous song goes, "there's a rainbow always after the rain". :)
